Clap It Out:

Thinking about how we are moving, called complex ideomotor challenges, can help us keep our minds even more nimble and fast. Workouts like ballroom dancing or juggling, can be a great way to stay quick and sharp no matter our age.

Try This Now: 

Get your body and brain to work together…quickly. Learn the “Boom, Snap, Clap” game. Move your hands and your mind by learning the phrases and hand motions that go together, then practice doing them as quickly as you can!

Boom Snap Clap; Ba Boom Snap Clap Snap; Boom Snap Clap; Ba Boom Snap Shhhhh.

The hand gestures that go with each word are:

Boom=touch both hands to your thighs

Ba Boom = touch both hands to your thights twice

Snap= snap your fingers

Clap=Clap your hands

Shhh=put your pointer finger to your lips like you’re quieting someone.

Boost It:

Put the pedal to the medal by clapping it out with a partner. See who can go fastest without making a mistake.
